A payment account is an account maintained by the payment service provider (the Bank) in the name of the payment service user, which is used for executing payment transactions.

The account can also be easily opened through OneID

Payment account in denars

All denar payment transactions carried out through the Bank’s counters, internet and mobile application, debit cards, or standing orders are recorded in the denar payment account.

No fee is charged for opening or closing a payment account.
Possibility to use payment services (debit card, credit card, electronic and mobile banking, authorized overdraft).
Option to activate a standing order.

Who can open a payment account?

A natural person with permanent residence in the Republic of North Macedonia.
A natural person, foreign citizen, who according to legal regulations has the status of resident, based on one of the following documents:
  • Valid temporary residence identity card issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia.
  • Certificate for free access to the labor market (for citizens of Serbia and Albania).
  • “Open Balkan” document issued by the Employment Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Minors – a birth certificate of the child must be submitted, along with the physical presence of the legal representative/guardian with a valid personal identification document.
Persons with disabilities – with documentation issued by a competent institution.

Required documentation for opening an account

Valid personal identification document (birth certificate for minors).
Application for updating personal data.
Request for opening a payment account for a consumer (resident/non-resident).
Framework agreement for opening, maintaining, and closing a payment account and other payment services for a natural person (resident/non-resident).

How can I access the funds in my payment account?

Funds can be used through:

The Bank’s counters (branches and offices throughout the country).
With debit cards at all ATMs in the country.
Electronic and mobile banking.
Counters of AD Post of the Republic of North Macedonia.
